1. Define internal conflict and external conflict.
2. Choose a major character.
3. List three examples of internal conflict and three examples of external conflict for that character.
4. Write two paragraphs - one for each kind of conflict - and elaborate on the conflicts. (What happens in the story to create the conflicts, where and when do the conflicts occur, do the conflicts get resolved, if so, how? etc.)
5. Choose a minor character.
6. Repeat steps #3 and #4 for the minor character.

External conflict
A struggle between a character and an outside force is an external conflict. Characters may face several types of outside forces. The outside force may be another character. It may be the character and the community. The outside force may also be forces of nature. For example, a story might be the main character struggling against the arctic cold.
Internal conflicts
A struggle that takes place in a character's mind is called internal conflict. For example, a character may have to decide between right and wrong or between two solutions to a problem. Sometimes, a character must deal with his or her own mixed feelings or emotions.
External conficts
He watches dan die. The plane comes after him so he had to escape from the plane. he has to find the french to take him to his next town
INTERNAL CONFICT
He is very scared when he falls behind enemy lines. he must leave his friend. he is scared because he is the youngest one in his squadren.
When henry watches dan die henry is very sad. As he watches dan die he the plane decides to come after him so he takes out his pistol and shoots at him. After the plane misses henry he fall behind enemy lines.
When henry gets shot down behind enemy lines he is very scared. He is scared because he is extremly young is hungry and has no food. ANTHONY-YOU NEED TO COME IN AT RECESS SO THAT I CAN HELP YOU SOLIDIFY THESE ANSWERS. YOU HAVE A GOOD START, BUT MORE DETAILS ARE DEFINITELY NEEDED.

Young people were introduced by hitlers youth. It existed from 1922 to 1945. The kids in it were both boys and girls over the age of ten. this helped hyis plan because he made the children strong and most of them fit the arian race. HE ALSO WANTED TO BRAINWASH ALL THE CHILDREN THAT HIS WAY WAS THE ONLY WAY. IF HE HAD A FOLLOWING AMONG THE YOUNGEST CITIZENS, THEY WOULD KNOW NO OTHER WAY OF LIFE. HIS LEGACY WOULD THEN CONTINUE.

scapegoat- a person or group made to bear the blame for others or to suffer in their place.
bandwagon- joining something that is going to be succesful.
Bandwagon relates to the story because people were joining the nazi party. They joined the nazi party because people thought it was going to be sucesful.
